I am very excited to say I am FINISHED my first semester of grad school!
As of Thursday at 11:00pm when I emailed my last essay, I am officially on vacation!
Finals were definitely stressful. In less than 48 hours, I turned in 4 reading reports for philosophy, 1 essay connecting philosophy and my thesis, a completely revised version of my thesis proposal, an "Estado del Arte" (state of the art? lit review? what's the appropriate phrase in English?), and a 20-page essay/research paper.
Remember that to do list/countdown from a while back? It's looking much better now:

Friday night I hosted a end of semester/going away/holiday dinner for some of the "original group" that met within the first few weeks (and a few significant others that have joined throughout the semester). I'm sad that many will be leaving at the end of the semester, but have enjoyed their friendship over the last few months.
Lilian, Tatiana and I spent the afternoon making a delicious homemade lasagna and tasty salad. I had also make a cake for Mason's birthday and chocolate chip cookies as gifts, since they had been such a hit at Xochimilco at the beginning of the semester.
