After roles in a list of Italian and French films like Malena (2000) and Irreversible (2002), Monica Bellucci struck gold as Persephone in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She's sustained her presence stateside with roles in The Passion of the Christ (2004) and Shoot 'Em Up (2007).
